Currently Reading: Mere Christianity

quick update...school is going well.  it comes close to killing me sometimes, but i'm surviving.  i kind of feels like i'm in a pool in the deep end holding on to a 10 lb weight, and i'm kicking as hard as i can, and i'm barely able to keep my head above water.  i'm doing it, but just barely.  =)  nice swimming analogy there for ya.  but anyway, it's all good.  i love all the stuff i'm learning.  it's so interesting to me.  and i'm in awe of God's greatness every single day in the anatomy lab.  how we can all be put together the way we are and how we all function normally on a daily basis, and how it's all dependent on a million little structures....wow, it's completely amazing.  if anyone ever has questions about whether God exists....they should enroll in an anatomy class and lab.  (too bad my cadaver has maggots living in it...that's not very cool, but oh well.  not much i can do about it.)  so yeah, school is good.  God is good.  Life is good.

My uncle Paul was diagnosed with leukemia on Monday and began the strongest chemo treatments available this afternoon.  He'll be in the hospital for about a month so he can be under 24 hour care.  If anyone would like to pray for him that would be awesome!  Thanks a bunch.

Doctor of Chiropractic Timeline....

2 weeks down

148 to go

Thursday, January 05, 2006

well i suppose i am due for a new entry since it has been almost a month since i last updated.  overall, life is good.  my brother got home from iraq a few days ago.  huge blessing there.  i am back in chicago at the moment, however i will be driving home on saturday for a quick trip since he will be coming to indy from NC where he and his wife live.  so i am excited to see him.  i start my 24 credit hours on monday.  it's going to be interesting to say the least.  i keep asking myself how in the world i am going to survive this, but i know that God wouldn't give me something i couldn't handle.  i'm scared to death, but at the same time i am so excited.  i'm finally going to be learning stuff that i will be able to use in my future.  i am so excited about becoming a chiropractor.  i just have to get through the next few years without going insane or killing myself.  =)

christmas break was awesome.  i dont know where the last few weeks have gone though.  it all happened so fast.  but it's definately all been awesome.  i only wish i could have had more time at home.  but i'll take what i can get.

any prayers for me and this upcoming semester would be greatly appreciated.  if you don't hear from me in a while, you might want to check with me to see if i'm still alive.  =)  hope you all are doing well and are getting off to a great new year.
